Product Description The Upper East Side metrosexual may be good at cocktail chat, but a real man knows how to fight off alligators, create a tourniquet out of a t-shirt, and rescue a drowning person. Frank Miniter's The Ultimate Man's Survival Guide shows men how to do all of these and more, including:* how to fight off a bear * how to set a dislocated joint * how to pick the perfect cigar and bottle of wine Presented in seven sections--survivor, provider, athlete, hero, romantic, cultured man, and philosopher--Miniter teaches guys the skills, attitudes, and philosophies they need to be the ultimate man. Clearly written and packed with real-life anecdotes, as well as line-drawings and how-to illustrations, The Ultimate Man's Survival Guide teaches men that any guy can be the ultimate man whether he is rescuing a lost hiker, plucking a child from a swift stream, or standing up against injustice.

Great Book! February 24, 2010 Trish A. Kelley The books came right on time and in perfect condition - just like it was listed.
essential read for a young man in this age February 8, 2010 Robert W. Sprague (Ca USA) Lots of things in here our dads took for granted that need to be spelled out to young men in this day of the metrosexual, overdressed, sissified male.
So-So on Manliness; Poor on Grammar February 3, 2010 Paladin (Virginia) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
There were some interesting things in the book, but I don't feel I need to learn about cigars to be more manly.
The most appalling fact about the book was the assortment of grammatical errors. "Your done", for example. It is hard to take advice from a guy who doesn't know the difference between you're and your.
For a gift December 16, 2009 Annette (LA) I bought this for a gift for my adult adventurous son.
It looks like it will be right up his alley.
Thanks,
Ultimate Man Review November 23, 2009 I agree with many of the premises of the book.....understanding what it takes to be a man of honor. Most of what is written here can be found in the latest Boy Scout Handbook.....without the commentary. Still it is good reading....but the Boy Scout Hand book is as good.
